Signs of Thaw: Variation on a Spring Theme

After a mild winter, spring has come early. It's the season in which our prealpine landscape offers an interesting mixture of increasingly green areas (with remaining spots of snow) in the lower parts and snow-covered areas in the higher parts of the countryside, coproduced by varying exposure to sun, wind, and other factors of the local microclimate. Whenever weather and agenda permit, I take my camera and go hunting for early-spring pictures that show this gradual change from predominantly white to predominantly green landscapes. Here is a small photographic improvisation on the topic "snow fields or signs of thaw: variation on a spring theme," with no further comments.
